A Museum Dedicated to LeBron James is Opening in Akron

A museum dedicated solely to the life and career of LeBron James is coming to Akron. The LeBron James Family Foundation confirmed the news Thursday, sharing on X that the LeBron James’ Home Court will be located at House Three Thirty and will open on Nov. 25. “LeBron James’ Home Court is a multimedia storytelling experience that offers a look at LeBron’s life with never-before-seen items along his journey from Akron to the NBA, Olympics, business, philanthropy and beyond,” it reads on the museum’s Eventbrite page. The NBA revealed that among the items on display will be the all-white suit LeBron wore at the 2003 NBA Draft, his jersey from the McDonald’s All-American Game, and an original backboard and rim from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, where James dazzled and garnered early attention as a teenager.

Vice Media Lays Off More Staff Amid Restructure

Serious changes are coming to Vice Media, and that begins with the exit of dozens of staffers. In a memo sent by CEOs Bruce Dixon and Hozefa Lokhandwala on Thursday, the duo confirmed the layoffs but assured the Brooklyn-based media company is not going away. “Vice will continue to produce digital news, as well as Vice News documentaries, both series and films, for FAST Channels, streaming services and other partners,” they promised. Vice Media is also consolidating its lines of business, downsizing from five to two. Publishing, news, and creative services will fall under one sector, and studios, along with TV, and distribution encompass the other.
