Patrick Mahomes Inks Endorsement Deal With Prime

The KC QB has signed on with the Logan Paul and KSI-founded Prime to become the face of its flagship product, Hydration.

Now we know what’s fueling Patrick Mahomes as he launches touchdown darts every week. On Monday, Prime, the energy drink co-founded by social media celebs and boxers Logan Paul and KSI, announced that it has signed the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback as a spokesperson.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that the two-time NFL MVP will become the face of Prime’s flagship product, Hydration, which is intended to be a healthier alternative to existing beverages like Gatorade.

“Prime is a disruptive brand that has taken over the beverage industry since it first launched. They are gamechangers, and that’s exactly what I strive to be on the field,” Mahomes said. “Our partnership is a winning play, merging innovation and excellence, setting a new standard both on and off the field.”

Added Paul and KSI: “At Prime, we believe in teaming up with greatness, and Patrick Mahomes isn’t just one of the best quarterbacks of all time; he’s rewriting the record book and bringing a whole new level of excitement to the game. Aligning with someone who’s pushing boundaries and breaking records is what Prime is all about, so this is a dream come true for us. It’s a privilege to welcome Patrick Mahomes to the Prime family and we can’t wait for you to see what we have planned for 2024.”

The company only dropped Prime Hydration in 2022, but it appears it’s already the preferred elixir of choice for thirsty consumers. A November report from Bloomberg unveiled that Prime earned $250 million in sales in its first year, and now for 2023, is set to surpass $1.2 billion in annual sales. Already boasting the likes of Mahomes, Manchester City star Erling Haaland, and MMA fighter Alexander Volkanovski, Prime has also landed sponsorships with the UFC, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Premier League club Arsenal.

In addition to being the face of Hydration, Prime says that Mahomes will collaborate with the company’s team across social, special events, and charitable activities, including through Mahomes’ own non-profit 15 and the Mahomies Foundation. The brand has already donated $100,000 to the foundation.
