Thompson Twins, Overtime Elite Immortalize “Dream Board” in Collab with Cash App

Last June, Amen and Ausar Thompson had a dream day, as each twin heard his name called in the first round of the NBA Draft. Before hitting the stage, the Overtime Elite alums shared their iconic joint dream board, which highlighted the key steps of their journey. Now, they’re bringing back the dream boards in collaboration with artist Devon Rodriguez and Cash App. Together, they’re creating a new asset based on the twins’ vision that will help promote the importance of financial literacy. “We’re proud to collaborate on content about the importance of athletes setting financial goals at an early stage and striving to become role models for the next generation,” Cash App head of brand Maurice Jennings said in a statement.

Apple and Google In Talks for iPhone AI Solution​

AI is coming to the iPhone. Following in the footsteps of the Samsung Galaxy S24, Apple is expected to bring an AI tool to its iPhone devices. Google is in talks with the tech giant to bring its Gemini AI to the device to drive artificial intelligence capabilities. According to a report from Bloomberg, Apple also had discussions with OpenAI; however, the negotiations with Google come as part of their search agreement. A deal would become an extension of that, which enables Google as the priority search engine on the Safari browser. The report drove up Google’s parent company, Alphabet, nearly 5% in pre-market trading.

Juju Watkins Leads USC WBB to First March Madness No. 1 Seed Since 1986

Selection Sunday has come and gone and March Madness is officially upon us. Juju Watkins added yet another accolade to her standout freshman season, as she led the University of Southern California to a No. 1 seed for the first time since 1986. Iowa, Texas, and the undefeated University of South Carolina each claimed the remaining three top seeds. On the men’s side, Houston, UConn, Purdue, and UNC received No. 1 seeds.

Ariana Grande Brings ‘Eternal Sunshine’ to the Top of the Billboard 200

Ariana Grande dropped a new album, served as the musical guest on SNL, and graced the Oscars stage in just over 48 hours. Now, her efforts have paid off, as her newest studio album Eternal Sunshine surged to the top of the Billboard 200 in its debut week. It moved 227,000 units, becoming the top-selling album in a single week thus far in 2024. It is her sixth No. 1 album, and first since dropping Positions in 2020.

‘The Color Purple,’ Usher Win Big at NAACP Image Awards

Awards season has finally come to a close with the conclusion of the NAACP Image Awards, which took place in Los Angeles on Saturday night. The Color Purple won big as it took home four awards, including Best Motion Picture. Additionally, Oprah Winfrey stepped out as a surprise presenter, handing out Entertainer of the Year to Usher. The multi-talented star also took him the evening’s President’s Award, which was announced prior to the broadcast.

Elon Musk Releases Grok Code

The AI battle is heating up. On Sunday, the Elon Musk released the raw code that underlies X’s artificial intelligence product, Grok. The move will allow developers to draw inspiration as they move to build their own chatbot-like products. The move comes amidst an ongoing battle between Musk and OpenAI. Earlier this year, Musk sued the ChatGPT parent company, challenging it to also release its code, as he believes creating open-sourced materials will have a long-term benefit for the broader public.
