Bob Iger Extends Contract with Disney Through 2026
The Walt Disney Co. CEO Bob Iger will remain in his role through the end of 2026, agreeing to a two-year contract extension that will give the entertainment and theme park company more time to name a successor. Iger had previously served as Disney’s CEO and chairman from 2005 to 2020 and then as executive chairman until his retirement in 2021. On Wednesday, the 72-year-old said that he’d consider offloading the corporation’s linear TV assets to offset its recent business struggles.
